Malfunction fixed

Due to a technical malfunction, semester registration for FS 26 could not be carried out on 31 January between 7:45 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. (from midnight onwards, registration would no longer have been possible as normal). Registration for FS 26 is reopened, but no later than Sunday, 8 February 2026, at 11:59 p.m. After this time, only students who have applied for an extension will be able to register for the semester.

Please only register online if you want to study at the University of Bern for the first time, or again after an interruption!
Please renew your semester registration and/or change your subject for the spring semester 2026 from 15 December at www.selfservice.unibe.ch.

Please be aware that if you hold a non-Swiss diploma, you must currently submit your application documents by post or courier service. In addition, there is a non-refundable application fee. Please note that no exceptions or fee exemptions can be granted.
